Ashwin has been consistently performing well in the current test match series. This is the second time that Ashwin took 5 wickets in this series and the fifth time that he took 5 wickets of England. With the wickets in the 4th test, he has also become the 2nd fastest to take 200 test wickets and the highest wicket taker in the 2016 calendar year succeeding Ranganath Herath.
England won the toss and chose to bat in the 4th test and scored 400/9 and India is leading the series with 2-0-1. England must win this match to hold the series where India just have to get a draw or a win to keep the series.
