The victim is a 19-year-old girl who has been raped by a 23-year-old guy she met on Facebook a couple of months ago. The incident occurred in Prashant theatre in Secunderabad a week ago.
Kandakatla Bikshapathi the accused is a not hyderabad resident and works as a driver in Jangaon. The duo took their Facebook friendship to the next level by meeting about a month ago and then the second meet on 21st led to the unfortunate incident. He raped the girl as the film Padmaavat was running on the screen and the girl reported that there was not much audience in the theater, at least near their seats.
Police arrested Bikshapathi and assured proper action on the negligent theater management, upon a complaint filed by the victim who also suffered severe injuries. This incident shook the people for it came as a surprise proving there is no place that is rape-proof.
