The counting is underway for the elections in five states and various by-elections across the country. West Bengal election result is the most awaited as BJP went all out to remove Mamatha Banarjee’s party at any cost. The exit polls have painted mixed results adding to the confusion.
So, there is a lot of curiosity. On similar lines, TV Channels were also divided in showing the early trends. Pro-BJP channels tried to showcase it is a close fight and even BJP ahead at times. But then, Mamatha Banarjee is winning and Ramoji Rao’s ETV is the only channel that has managed to get it right from the Word Go.
The Channel showed Mamatha Banarjee’s party, AITUC leading comfortably right from the start. Unlike other media groups which speculate a lot. ETV has a strong presence at the grassroots levels in most states of the country. As a result, the media house gets such trends perfectly every single time.
West Bengal’s result combined with the failure in handling the COVID crisis puts BJP under tremendous pressure. They can only take comfort from the fact Congress is still struggling.
