Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had revealed that it was Media Baron Ramoji Rao who suggested Amaravati as the name of the state’s upcoming capital. Chandrababu released a book on Amaravati King Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu and on this occasion revealed the secret behind Amaravati name.
Naidu also added that Ramoji Rao not only suggested the name but also sent several historic facts and details behind that name and the history of the area. Naidu promised to build Amaravati as one of the Top 10 cities in the World. He reminded people that the area flourish during Satavahanas rule as Biggest Business Hub.
Naidu went on to say Amaravati is the symbol of Telugu people self respect. He also announced starting of a Buddhism Research Center very soon. Amaravati name got instant good response from all quarters after its announcement.
