Ram Nath Kovind has taken oath as the 14th President of India a little while ago. Supreme Court Chief Justice JS Kehar administered the oath in Parliament Central Hall. Ram Nath Kovind is the Second Dalit in the Highest Constitutional Post of India.
Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, BJP President Amit Shah, BJP Senior Leader LK Advani, Chief Ministers of Both the Telugu States, Union Ministers, CMs and Governors of various states have attended the event.
“Honoured to be sworn in as the 14th President of India; would be carrying out my responsibilities with all humility #PresidentKovind,” Ram Nath Kovind posted his first Tweet from the official account of the Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
