Andhra Pradesh Congress is Jubilant after the success of Rahul Gandhi’s Meeting in Guntur last week. Even though Political Analysts feel that Congress failed to make an impression on the people who are still in the bifurcation blues, Congress leaders feel that they made a good start.
But then, this has come as a shock for YSR Congress. Congress and YSR Congress share the same Vote Base. After Congress was affected by Bifurcation, the Vote Base is shifted to YSR Congress. Any improvement by Congress will mean that YSR Congress Vote Base will be eroded.
In fact, Congress put better efforts to corner the government since 2014 elections than YSR Congress. They are hoping that the efforts will be paid off. Any bit of improvement will be dangerous for YSR Congress in the closely contested election of 2019.
Congress which is the ruling party in 2009 to 2014 was reduced to Zero. The party has no hopes of coming to power at least in the next two decades but the party is keen on opening its account and improving the seat tally here in Andhra Pradesh.
