Potluri Vara Prasad (PVP), the industrialist and filmmaker, joined YSR Congress just before the 2019 elections and unsuccessfully contested Vijayawada Parliament.
After the elections, he often used to wage a Twitter war on TDP Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani and stay in the news continuously.
He has become busy with his businesses in the last couple of years and is staying away from politics.
Every now and then, he is making indirect comments hinting at his unhappiness with YSR Congress.
Today, he wished Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu with the choicest words.
“సమాజానికి సేవ చేసే ప్రతి నాయకుడు కలకాలం వర్ధిల్లాలి! తెలుగు జాతికి మంచి పనులు చేయడానికి మరింత శక్తిని, ఉత్సాహన్ని ఆ భగవంతుడు ఇవ్వాలని మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కోరుకుంటూ..,” he wrote on Twitter.
They are speculations he may be looking at TDP for 2024.
PVP wanted a TDP ticket for Vijayawada Parliament in the 2014 elections and lobbied hard via Janasena President Pawan Kalyan. He also supported Janasena’s party initially. Later on, he joined YSR Congress just before the 2019 election and got a Vijayawada MP ticket.
There are rumors that Naidu may deny Vijayawada MP ticket to Kesineni Nani this time and opt for his brother Kesineni Chinni. The seat is most likely will be between the Kesineni brothers. So, PVP should have some other plans if he is to join TDP.
Also, the problem with PVP is he disappears from the ground at normal times and only comes back during the elections.
