Daggubati Purandhareeswari has this habit of being a dark horse wherever she contest. In the all elections she faced till now, her seat was confirmed in the last minute but she was able to pull it off successfully in the last two elections. Clean image and advantage of being the daughter of Legend NTR have facilitated cross voting in Purandhareeswari’s favour. But this time she faces a tough challenge in Rajampeta which is usually a strong forte of Congress. TDP and BJP are not so strong in the assembly segments that fall under Rajampeta.
However things drastically changed here since Puranadhareeswari started her campaign. It is said that three constituencies under Rajampeta – Madanapalle, Rajampeta, Kodur have turned in favour of TDP and BJP while Punganuru and Rayachoti remains in favour of YSR Congress. However things are still not easy for Purandhareeswari. If she has to win this, Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Pileru constituency should work in favour of her for MP. Since YSR Congress’ candidate Midhun Reddy’s father Peddireddy and Kiran are long time rivals. So, if KKR works for Purandhareeswari, may be she can pull off a blinder out of no where.
