PROVED: Lives of Frontline Workers At Risk in Andhra PradeshAndhra Pradesh Government had suspended a Doctor and Municipal Commissioner for coming out in Public alleging that there is a shortage of PPE Kits in the state. The Government alleged that this is false propaganda of the Opposition and there is a sufficient number of PPEs in the state.

But then, that seems to be not true. Former Minister Nara Lokesh released the entire list of the Corona victims in Anantapur and the majority of the Positive cases are that of the frontline staff involved in the Corona control measures. The list includes Doctors, Nurses, House Surgeons, Ambulance Drivers, etc

Nine of the total 36 positive cases in the released list falls in this category i.e., 25% of the total cases. This clearly indicates that there is a shortage of PPE in the state which exposes the frontline workers to the list. Its high time the Government comes out of the denial mode and address the issue.

On the other side, there are 56 Coronavirus cases and Two more deaths in the state in the last 24 hours. Kurnool and Guntur registered 19 cases each in these cases taking the total cases to 813. With 24 deceased and 120 discharged, there are 669 active cases. Kurnool district is topping the table with 208 cases, while Guntur has 177 cases.
