Reports are that three anchors of a popular News Channel, TV9 were involved in a tiff. A female anchor has approached the Cyber Crime police about data theft from her mobile. The police have registered an FIR and are investigating the case.
Rumors are that the complainant has informed the police that the mobile has sensitive information and some private videos. TV9 has released an official statement about the issue on its Facebook page saying that the issue is a personal one and is not work-related. “Their behavior and their role in the alleged crime is totally personal and is not related to the positions they hold,” the statement said.
“We will co-operate with the police and also hold an internal disciplinary inquiry,” they added. The names of the anchors and the issue between them are not revealed yet. This clarification has triggered a discussion on social media about what is the real incident.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that all the three anchors were shown the door out of the channel.
