Mamata Banerjee -Amit shahIf the reports are to go by, Central Government is seriously mulling to impose President’s Role in West Bengal. This situation has arrived after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee tried to block the visits and meetings of BJP Top Functionaries including President Amit Shah.

To teach a lesson to Mamatha, Center sent CBI to arrest Kolkata Police Commissioner in an Old Case. West Bengal already revoked the General Consent for CBI which mandates the Premier investigating agency to take the Permission of the State Government before entering the State. But CBI did not do so and the Kolkata cops arrested them.

The Central Government may impose President’s Rule on the Pretext of the State Government aiding the Corrupt. On the other side, Mamata sat for a Dharna today calling the CBI’s attempt to doorstep the police chief a “total constitutional breakdown” and she also alleged that the Central Government is trying to arm-twist the State Powers.
