K_Chandrashekar_Rao_Telangana_Chief_MinisterTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has been giving leaks to the media about a new national party, BRS. KCR met some national leaders and made tall claims of changing the national politics in 3-4 months.

There are reports that KCR is going to congregate the Opposition to put up a strong candidate in the Presidential elections.

While the Opposition is busy finding a candidate, KCR skipped the meeting saying that he can not share the dais with Congress.

NDA has announced Draupadi Murmu as the presidential candidate. If she wins, she will become the first tribal president of India.

This has put the Opposition in a spot of bother. Yashwant Sinha is announced as the candidate from the Opposition but the parties are worried if they can put up a candidate against a Tribal woman which may send wrong signals to the ST voters.

If this is the position of the Opposition with a big party like Congress, one can imagine the plight of the so-called anti-BJP, the anti-Congress stance of KCR.

KCR should have learned the lesson a hard way. It is either he is not ambitious about national politics or does away with the anti-Congress sentiment if BJP is his main rival.
