Prashant Kishor to Rajya Sabha?Political Strategist Prashant Kishor recently added one more feather to his cap. After the sensational victory of YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh, his next assignment, Delhi is also a blockbuster. Prashant Kishor quit JD(U) recently after opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act.

He announced taking up a yatra against the JD(U) and BJP Government in Bihar. Prashant Kishor is working for Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Buzz is that Mamata might nominate him to Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha Election for Five Seats in West Bengal is scheduled on March 26th.

The four TMC seats, which will fall vacant, are currently held by Manish Gupta, Jogen Chowdhury, Ahmed Hassan Imran, and KD Singh. Going by the number of MLAs in the West Bengal Assembly, the TMC will win four seats to the Rajya Sabha, whereas a candidate with either the support of CPI(M)-Congress or the TMC-Congress combine will also get them the fifth seat.

Currently, the fifth seat is being held by Ritabrata Banerjee of CPI(M) but she was expelled from the party.
