Poor KCR, Even A Good Intention is Not AppreciatedTelangana Government has announced a scheme to help about 1.45 lakh private school teachers and non-teaching in Telangana, who are not getting salaries as schools are shut to arrest the spread of COVID-19. Accordingly, they will Rs 2,000 and 25 kg of rice a month from the State Government starting this month.

No Government in the country has got such a scheme but even that is being criticized. Teachers are not happy as they feel the 2000 Rupees is an insult to their profession. “We are not beggars,” they say. Many teachers have been posting videos on social media demanding that the government should pay at least 10,000 Rupees for them in this crisis.

It is true that 2,000 rupees is a small amount but probably, we can not expect a government to cover their entire loss. Maybe they should consider the fact that the government at least thought of helping them when no government across the country even thought of the teacher’s plight.

Probably, when anti-incumbency starts on a Government, people tend to ignore such things
