Police wings also to be divided!

Earlier it was decided that despite the state division all the police wings including Greyhounds, APSP, Intelligence, Octopus and a few others will serve both the states together at least for a term of 2 years. But now there is a change of decision. Governor and the police heads have decided that all the wings will be divided between both the states before April 2nd, the appointed day.

Top police bosses have cleared it to the governor that a joint exercise may not possible since the priorities of both the state Chief Ministers will be different. However the establishing of mechanism in Seema Andhra and strengthening of current system in Telangana is necessary to maintain law and order. And also it will require Central government’s funding and additional forces to carry out the division. But so far the Union Home Ministry did not respond.
