Police to Clamp Down Amaravati Ahead of Assembly SessionPolice Department has served notices to the Farmers and Amaravati Parirakshana Samiti JAC Leaders of Mandadam, Velagapudi, Thulluru, Nidamarru, and Mangalagiri. Monday is going to be a very crucial day due to the Cabinet meeting and the first day of the Special Assembly Session.

The Government is likely to move a resolution in the house to repeal the CRDA act which will pave way for the shifting of the Capital from Amaravati. The Police have served notices to the leaders under CrPC Section 149 stating that no protests were allowed on Monday and strict action will be taken on any violations.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Chandrababu Naidu called for Chalo Assembly on Monday. The JAC is planning to storm the Assembly, Guntur Collectorate, and Jail Baro as a mark of protest. The Police are likely to resort to some house arrests tonight to foil the protests.

Meanwhile, TDP had issued a whip to all its MLAs and MLCs to vote against the Government in this issue. The Whip was also issued to Rebel MLAs – Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Maddali Giri.
