TDP Pithani Satyanarayana joining YSRCPLabour Minister Pitani Satya Narayana may quit the Telugu Desam Party and join the Opposition Ruling Party, if the rumours doing rounds in his Achanta Constituency are to be believed. Pitani is a Two time MLA from the same constituency but is facing severe anti-incumbency this time.

Pitani won 2009 elections on Congress Ticket and was a minister in YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy Regime. After the state Bifurcation, he shifted to Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Jai Samayikhya Andhra Party and became its Vice-President. After the party fizzed out, he shifted to TDP just before the elections and won.

He became a Minister two years ago. Pitani belongs to the Settibalijas community. Settibalijas are capable of playing a decisive role in tilting the scales in at least half a dozen Assembly segments in the delta region such as Achanta, Narsapur, Palacole, Nidadavole, Bhimavaram and Tanuku.
