Pink Tsunami Tramples the Opposition in TelanganaA Pink Tsunami engulfed the Opposition in Telangana as Telangana Rashtra Samiti is all set to return to Power with more than 90 seats out of the total 119 seats. While the Perception is Mahakutami may win the election or at least give a tough fight leading to Hung Assembly, nothing such sort even remotely happened.

Congress is struggling even to touch the 20 seats and TDP’s chances are looking bleak in all the seats except Sattupally. Telangana Jana Samiti and Communist Parties are unlikely to even open their accounts in this election. BJP which was projected to improve its tally when compared to 2014 elections is also disappointing even with its President trailing.

The Predicts of Independents winning 8-10 seats also did not happen. Even the Settler Strongholds like GHMC and Khammam also went TRS way while Congress Stronghold, Nalgonda also got Pinkified. Several Congress Seniors who have claimed themselves as the CM Candidates lost or trailing. Even the Leaders like Uttam Kumar Reddy and Revanth Reddy are trailing.

This mandate of Telangana will have huge implications on Andhra Pradesh Politics. The failure of Mahakutami will also cast doubts over the concept of Opposition Unity which is being mooted at the National Level. The solace for Congress is its performance in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.
