Pic Talk: Cash Bundle, Whiskey, Goodies, CM's Gift To MediaKarnataka CMO’s gift hampers to journalists are hitting headlines. TRS party alleges that gift hampers were given to about a dozen journalists on the occasion of Diwali. A pic of the alleged Karnataka CMO’s hamper is doing rounds on social media.

For those interested, the hamper had an assortment of sweet boxes, and piled on it was a black-label bottle of whiskey. It is also being said there was hard cash in the hamper ranging between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh.

TRS party alleges that this is how the corrupt BJP government is managing media and stooping to these ploys to remain in the good books of the journalists to hide their poor governance.

Two journalists said they returned the hampers to the CMO saying it was not ethical.

Obviously, the TRS party has found a reason to get into a slug-fest with the ruling BJP. The Karnataka BJP government is claiming no such gifts were given, while the TRS alleges that the ‘PAYCM’ of Karnataka, a pun on PayTM, did give away the ‘sweet boxes’.

Congress has also started making fun of Karanataka CM Bommai with an image of Bommai pointing at a website ‘40% Sarkara’, as the CM is accused of taking a 40 percent cut from public works.
