Amaravati JAC Convenor K Srinivasa Rao hurled his chappal at BJP Leader, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy in a Live Debate on ABN Andhrajyothy. This attack has happened in the Live Show when Vishnu has repeatedly called farmers paid artists. Physical attacks have no place in a democracy and this should be condemned thoroughly.
But then, this would not have happened if not for irresponsible slander on the farmers who are agitating for their rights. Vishnu has also called them names including the women who have participated in the protests. Things would not have come this far if people condemned the behavior.
When the entire ecosystem including the Ministers call farmers agitating for their rights as paid artists, the anguish has piled up and finally, showed up in a way it should not have happened. Deputy Chief Minister Dharmana Krishna Das even called the farmers as Lan*a Kod*k*lu. They are being agonized for two years just because they trusted Chandrababu Naidu and gave their lands for the capital.
But then, this will do no good to the cause. YSR Congress has also started showing love to BJP on this issue only to shoot at the agitation from the shoulders of Vishnu.
Further, the entire agitation is being painted TDP colors. The Government may also use this issue to hit the agitation. Its time the farmers show the restraint they have been showing unil now and also for the government to look into their rightful demands.
