Permission Refused for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Vizag MeetingThe Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University refused Permission for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vishakapatnam Meeting planned in AU Grounds. The Vice-Chancellor cited a rule from 2015 which prohibits University Campus to be used for Political and Religious Meetings.

In the same ground, TDP celebrated its Mahanadu in 2017 at the same venue. When asked about that, the Vice-Chancellor clarified that the event happened when the University is closed for Summer Holidays. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Vishakapatnam on 27th of this month.

BJP is scouting for an alternate venue for the event. Earlier this month, the Prime Minister addressed a Public Meeting in Guntur and launched a scathing attack on CM Chandrababu Naidu. Things may not be very different in this meeting as well. The PM may not announce anything to the state due to the Moral Code of Conduct in place due to MLC Elections.
