JanaSena -Pawan KalyanJanasena has faced its worst defeat in 2019 elections. The party has only managed to win a single seat and even Pawan Kalyan lost both the seats he contested. With such a rout, everyone thought Janasena’s Vote Share will only deplete further. However, it proved to be wrong.

Going by the Panchayat election results, Janasena did not improve when compared to 2019 but it managed to held on its traditional strongholds. The party put up decent performance in Godavari districts especially in areas where the Kapu Community is in a decisive state.

Janasena managed its hold on Razole constituency even though its sole MLA Rapaka Varaprasad ditched the party. However, it has to be noted all these are scattered and put together may not still impact the result of an Assembly Election. Pawan Kalyan should concentrate to expand the party in other sections as well.

One more interesting observation in this election is that the alliance between Janasena and BJP is proving to be not useful. The alliance did not add any value to Janasena but then, BJP seems to have gained Kapu community votes in few pockets. And even that is not at staggering levels.
