Pawan KalyanTelugu Desam Party got an unimaginable upswing with elections one year to go. Winning three out of the three Graduate MLC seats and winning one MLA-quota MLC with YCP rebels pushed the party into the driver’s seat in AP politics right now.

YSR Congress is struggling to change the perception of the public and is trying to put a brave face ignoring the insult.

The other Opposition party, Janasena is also equally worried about this result.

Pawan Kalyan already announced he will not allow the opposition vote to split indicating he is open to an alliance.

There are many speculations about the seat-sharing between TDP and Janasena.

Janasena supporters are harboring hopes of getting half of the seats and even power-sharing until recently.

After the Graduates’ MLC results, Pawan Kalyan released a statement hailing the Graduate voters bringing in the change but did not congratulate TDP or its candidates on the victory.

Things would have been different if Pawan Kalyan extended support to TDP candidates publicly but he did not do. So, he can not claim any credit. It also helped TDP to take the credit solely.

After the MLA-quota MLC elections, he did not make any comment on the upset. He is yet to make a statement criticizing YSR Congress or congratulating TDP.

It looks like Pawan Kalyan is so worried about losing the bargaining power in the alliance with TDP back in form.

There are now rumors in the media circles that TDP may not offer more than 20 seats to Janasena now.

Pawan Kalyan may have to chose between going alone and suffer or continue the alliance with whatever number of seats he gets.
