Janasena President Pawan Kalyan’s Sramadhanam Program in Rajahmundry is finally done amid high drama. In his speech, Pawan Kalyan once again became impatient at fans for shouting CM and Powerstar slogans.
“Don’t call me CM. Keep it in your heart until I really become the Chief Minister. There is no use of calling me Powerstar when there is no power,” Pawan Kalyan said.
This is the second instance of Pawan Kalyan making similar comments. The videos of his comments are going viral on social media. Supporters of other parties are mocking Pawan Kalyan and Janasena supporters on these comments.
But then, political experts are wondering if there is a strategy behind such comments.
“It looks like Pawan Kalyan is frustrated when someone calls him Powerstar and CM after that humiliation in 2019 elections. And then, there can be a strategy as well behind this move. Probably, Pawan Kalyan wants to erase the film star image in the people and also discipline fans,” they say.
But then, the strategy is debatable because, on one side, Pawan Kalyan is continuously doing back-to-back films.
Even if he tries to make people forget the film image, some promotional material or a film release happens which remind people that he is a film actor.
And then, he will say films are necessary to make a living and to run the party. Furthermore, the strength of Pawan Kalyan and Janasena is in films. Films and Pawan Kalyan are inseparable. But it is an issue with the common people. So, this is a catch 22 situation for the actor-politician. In a way, it is a necessary evil.
