Pawan-Kalyan---Janasena-Party---BJPJanasena President Pawan Kalyan has bogged down to the pressure of the BJP leadership. Janasena which has announced contesting in the elections in alliance with BJP or alone backtracked in the last minute. Even though the party did a lot of Hungama till the last minute, it did not field its candidates.

Minutes before the close of the nominations, Union Minister Kishan Reddy and BJP Senior Leader Lakshman sat with Pawan Kalyan and Nadendla Manohar. After the meeting, Janasena announced giving unconditional support to BJP and also said all Jana Sena candidates will withdraw from the race.

“I know this is disappointing for Janasaniks but I don’t want to divide the vote,” Pawan Kalyan said. It is interesting to note that Janasena did not even release its list of candidates and the talk of withdrawing candidates seems to be a face-saver. This bogging down to the pressure of BJP has come as a huge disappointment for Janasena supporters.

“This is an example of how BJP leadership will override Janasena every time and it will happen in Tirupati as well,” Janasena supporters say. Bandi Sanjay who has been opposing the alliance with Janasena since the start did not attend the meeting.
