At a time when flying is rapidly becoming the preferred mode of transportation for Indians of all social classes, a terrible incident involving the staff of a leading airline has come to light. As it so happened, the ground staff of Indigo airline manhandled and dragged off a passenger after a brief altercation.
The incident is from mid October when passenger Ravi Katiyal flew into Delhi from Chennai. After he de-boarded the plane, he got into a tiff with the ground staff over some issue. While the cause of the argument has not yet been revealed, the ground staffers stopped Katiyal from getting on the bus leading passengers to the terminal and then mishandled and dragged him.
The whole incident was caught on camera by one of the Indigo staff witnessing the incident who was later fired. However, when the video came to public attention, Indigo made a public statement apologising for the incident. Moreover, Indigo president Aditya Ghosh himself called the victim and made apologies for this shameful incident.
