After a lot of dillydallying, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif accepted India’s invitation for the new Prime Minister’s swearing-in ceremony. It is known that India had extended invitations to all SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation) country heads for the ceremony. However, Narendra Modi is seen as anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistani by the Pakistan Army and ISI.

They reportedly put pressure on Nawaz Sharif to decline the invitation. But as it would send negative impression to the entire world that Pakistan is against resuming talks with India. At one point of time, Nawaz Sharif even considered sending some one to the event on his behalf but now decided to come down himself personally. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on May 26th in Rashtrapathi Bhavan
