Pakistan-Government-Insults-PM-Narendra-ModiPakistan Government is on a backfoot ever since Narendra Modi Government abrogated Article 370 and made Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories. Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan’s Nuke Threats in the United National General Assembly got no takers. So, the Rival Government resorted to insulting the Indian Prime Minister.

“We would like to extend an invitation to former Indian PM Manmohan Singh for the inauguration function of Kartarpur Corridor. He also represents the Sikh community. We will also send him a formal invitation,” Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said. Inviting the former Prime Minister and ignoring the current Prime Minister equals a great insult.

The Kartarpur corridor is being built by India and Pakistan to connect Darbar Sahib – the final resting place of Guru Nanak Dev in Pakistan’s Kartarpur with Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district of Punjab. The corridor will be opened in November in connection with the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

The former Prime Minister was born in Gah (Punjab) which is now in Pakistan. Despite several invitations from Pakistan, Manmohan Singh never went there during his tenure of 10 years.
