Hyundai sibling KIA Motors is looking to make its entry into India by setting up its maiden factory. It is emerging that the company has zeroed in on Anantapur for setting the shop. The Factory needs 400 acres and the state government has already started acquiring land for the project.
But then YSR Congress is opposing the project alleging that the government is making the locals landless to favour industrialists and in the garb of the factory using the water of Gollapalli Reservoir.`Jagan will very soon tour the region and stage a protest.
But then TDP leaders allege that this is an attempt to abstruct development in the drought prone Anantapur district. “Jagan is only leader who do not want any development in Rayalaseema. He wants people in poverty. He is looking to stop a big investment and later will come back saying government has created no jobs,” TDP leaders allege.
Kia Motors is reportedly mulling over setting up a factory with annual capacity of 3,00,000 units with an investment of around 5000 Crore. Hyundai has a facility at Sriperumbudur, about 40 km from here. KIA Motors sells several models, Sportage, Optima, Cadenza, Soul, globally and has manufacturing facilities in Korea and Mexico. The company will bring it to operations by 2019 if everything goes as per the plan.Don't MissDisco Raja Movie Review, Live Updates- After an over stretched Climax, Disco Raja comes to an end.
