BJP President Amit Shah seems to have shifted its focus on to both the Telugu States. The immediate target in Telangana is to decimate Congress and occupy the Main Opposition Slot. Buzz in the BJP circles is that BJP high command is in talks with five Congress MLAs and an MLC.
The target is to woo the Reddy Community which is with Congress till now. The Operation Kill Congress will begin during Dussehra time and Amit Shah will be personally supervising the Operation. In the second phase, BJP will be targeting the discontent leaders in TRS as well.
BJP is currently focused only on decimating Congress. They are okay if that helps TRS for now as they are sure that KCR will anyway support BJP as and when needed. Once Congress is killed, the focus will be on decimating TRS but then that is no easy task.
BJP already announced contesting independently in Telangana for 2019 elections leaving beside TDP (TS). But then, there are demands within the party to immediately change the party leadership as the current President Lakshman is too meek and mild.
