Since TDP did not go for the kill in the Rajya Sabha elections, the Operation Akarsha stopped and the MLAs defections flow from YSR Congress to the ruling Party in Andhra Pradesh stopped for a while much to the relief of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

But then, the Operation Akarsha started once again which comes as a huge disappointment for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Two of the YSR Congress are in talks with the ruling party to shift their loyalties. Santhanoothalapadu MLA Adhimoolapu Suresh and Markapuram MLA Venkat Reddy are the MLAs.

Both of them are from Prakasam district. In the last elections, out of the 12 Assembly segments in the districts, YSR Congress won Six of them and TDP won five with remaining one seat going to Independent. Four MLAs who got elected from YSR Congress – Ashok Reddy (Giddaluru), David Raju (Yerrgondapalem), Gottipati Ravi Kumar (Addanki) and Pothula Ramrao (Kandukuru) joined the Cycle party so far.

The lone independent from Chirala, Amanchi Krishna Mohan also joined the ruling Party. Now, if Santhanoothalapadu MLA Adhimoolapu Suresh and Markapuram MLA Venkat Reddy ditch YSR Congress, the party will be virtually washed out of the district. Prakasam is one of the strongest areas for YSR Congress and now there is a danger of getting wiped out.
