BJP High Command has taken Telangana seriously. For the first time in its history, the party is smelling a chance to come to power and is keen on making this opportunity count.
The party is trying to woo the dominant BC population in the state to win the 2023 election. So, the party is planning to give another Union Cabinet Berth to Telangana.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is looking to reshuffle his Cabinet and Telangana will get one more berth in this.
BJP currently has five MPs in Telangana. Kishan Reddy is the sole representation in the cabinet. Among the BC MPs, Bandi Sanjay, Dharmapuri Aravind, and Laxman are the frontrunners.
We will have to see who will get lucky finally. It is interesting to note the neighboring Andhra Pradesh has no representation in the Union cabinet after TDP severed ties with BJP in 2018.
