chandrababu naidu Machilipatnam Port Private LimitedThe challenge of building the truncated Andhra Pradesh from the scratch seem to be not so easy task for the state chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. After completing the land pooling for the capital, Naidu is on to procuring land for Bandar Port and Port based industries.

The state cabinet had chalked out a development plan in about 30000 acres and in the first phase, about 14000 acres have to be acquired from local farmers near Machilipatnam and Bantumilli. The Chief Minister had promised compensation on par with that of the capital villages for this project too.

The Machilipatnam Port Private Limited was awarded the contract to develop the port in 2010. But they could not complete the project as only 524 acres were acquired swince then. So the state government had decided to extend the contract for them for another 36 months.

It is known that center had already cleared the licenses for brand new Vizag International airport at Bhogapuram but now state government has to pool about 6000 acres which will be another big one but Naidu said that land owners will get similar package to Amaravati farmers.
