One More ED Case Registered on JaganOne More case is now added to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets cases. One more case has been registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). There have been eleven CBI and six ED cases on Jagan already and this new case makes it eighteen cases in total.

The case is related to irregularities in Indu Projects Ltd resulting in wrongful loss to the state and the then Andhra Pradesh Housing Board. The ED court, on Saturday, has admitted the charge sheet filed by the ED. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, his relative, and TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, YSRC MLA Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad, and others were named as accused in the charge sheet.

Interestingly, ED did not name MP and Jagan’s auditor V Vijaya Sai Reddy as an accused in this case while he is named in the corresponding CBI case. During the YSR regime, 135 acres of prime government land plots in Hyderabad were given to Indu Projects CMD Syam Prasad Reddy in the guise of developing villas in a joint venture with the then APHB.

As a quid-pro-quo deal, Syam Prasad gave away a two-acre plot belonging to the housing board to Jagan’s uncle, Subba Reddy. The ED and CBI in the charge sheets mention that Syam Prasad Reddy paid a bribe in the form of investments at exorbitant premiums in various companies belonging to the Chief Minister.

Way back in January 2018, the ED had attached Rs 117 crore worth of assets of Indu Projects.
