With Political Parties already baffled in the battle for two elections in a very short time, Supreme court had dropped one more bomb on them. The apex court had ordered the state goverment and Election commission to conduct MPTC and ZPTC elections. The court had ordered the concerned parties to issue notification by Monday or else get ready to face action under contempt of the court.
On February 18th last year, Supreme Court ordered to complete elections of MPTCs and ZPTCs but the state government had been evading the elections stating law and order issue in the state. The government also put the reservations in these elections in pending with out finalizing them. However, with Supreme court’s latest ruling, the state machinery is expected to move. And in all probability, state will be facing three elections in the next two months.
