Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has flagged off a fleet of vehicles at Benz Circle Chowrastha in Vijayawada.
These vehicles are named ‘Dr. YSR Thalli-Bidda Express’. They will be used for lactating mothers to go to a government hospital for delivery and later from hospital to house for free.
Everything looks fine but you will definitely feel some familiarity with the name.
That’s because it was the name of a successful scheme during Chandrababu Naidu‘s regime.
Immediately after coming to power, the service was neglected by Jagan Government by not giving funds and not paying salaries to the drivers.
The name was tweaked. The vehicles were painted afresh with the new name.
All the vehicles were brought to Vijayawada from the districts and were flagged off by the Chief Minister.
That means it is an old scheme with a new name involving extra expenses in painting and fuel expenses to bring them from districts to Vijayawada.
Now, drone shots will be taken when these vehicles will be going in a line on narrow roads and the footage will be sent to the National media as an achievement and a new scheme.
