NTR Mahanayakudu Vs Yatra - Political Heat Before The Elections? The Makers of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NTR Biopic have taken the inevitable Decision. They have postponed the release date of their film’s Second Part, NTR Mahanayakudu to February 7th. This is to ensure enough breathing space between NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu which is not the case with the earlier plan of the Second Part releasing on January 24th.

This announcement came two days after the Release Date Announcement of Yatra – The Biopic of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Yatra which was supposed to release on December 21st was later pushed to Sankranthi and now, they have announced that the film will release on February 8th. That means both the films will clash at the Box Office.

NTR Mahanayakudu is being made in the Point of View of Chandrababu Naidu and is aimed at helping the ruling Telugu Desam Party ahead of the 2019 Assembly Elections. On the other side, Yatra which is more about the Padayatra of YSR is expected to help the Opposition YSR Congress Party.

But then on film terms, NTR is a Big Project due to the Star Value of Balakrishna while Yatra is carrying a low buzz in the trade due to Malayalam Superstar, Mammootty who has no market in both the Telugu States. It has to be seen if the producers will dare to clash with NTR.
