Now, ASUS to Make in AP' with Foxconn at SriCItyJoining the likes of Xiomi and Gionee, the Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has dialled into Andhra Pradesh by partnering with Foxconn to manufacture its smart phone in the Andhra Pradesh state. ASUS on Thursday said that it will be “making in India” through its partners Foxconn at the Sri city located at Chittor District

The company, which is ranked No. 4 in notebook computers, entered the India’s smartphone market a little late. ASUS aims to produce 150,000 smartphones in India per month by the end of the current financial year, which will account for almost 80% of the sales in India. ASUS India Regional Head (South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group) Peter Chang said that we are aggressively targeting the Indian market. We aim to achieve 5% market share in the country by next year and empower all our customers with luxury.

The manufacturing activities will be kick-started in two months of time with its recently launched model Zenfone 2 Laser, which will soon be followed by the Zenfone Go.
