After that mishap at Godavari Pushkaralu in Rajahmundry, officials were about to restore normalcy as soon as possible. Elaborate arrangements were made at the ghats. Queue system is strictly implemented and officials have made arrangements to clean the ghat for every one hour. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is monitoring the condition through the CC cameras at the ghats from the Control room and is giving instructions accordingly.
Naidu had visited all the ghats personally and took inputs from devotees themselves regarding the arrangements.Today is Amavasya and is considered auspicious for Pinda Pradhanam and so crowd had increased at the crowds. After that incident yesterday, people are also cooperating with authorities.
Government had increased forces in Rajahmundry. DGP Ramudu is also at the Ground Zero and is monitoring every thing. It is estimated that today’s crowd will be 30% more than the yesterday’s. VIPs are coming in big numbers. Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took the holy dip in Kovvur and performed Pinda Pradhanam to his father, Late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
