No TDP Congress Alliance in Andhra Pradesh?Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu met Congress President Rahul Gandhi earlier this week in New Delhi and they are said to have a Closed Door Meeting. Both the leaders reportedly agreed not to have alliance in Andhra Pradesh even though they will jointly fight Narendra Modi at the Central Level.

We are told that both the Leaders indicated the same to their party leaders as well. They have arrived at this decision after the Recent Telangana Election Results. They feel that such an alliance in Andhra Pradesh may prove to be counterproductive. Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be invited to the Dharma Porata Deeksha in Amaravati the next month.

All the leaders of anti-BJP parties will attend the Meeting. Taking two different stances is not a unique experiment for Chandrababu. Previously Congress supported the United Front Government in which TDP is a part of. Chandrababu is the Convenor of United Front back then. But both the parties continued to be rivals in the State. So, it has to be seen what happens now.
