Central Electricity AuthorityThe ongoing PPAs controversy between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana may not have a solution in the near future. It is known that the Central Electricity Authority has appointed Neeraja Mathur committee to solve the issue. And the committee was supposed to sit for a meeting with both the states on 22nd of this month which was put off in the last minute.

On the other side, Neeraja Mathur will be retiring towards the end of this month. It has to be seen if she will be retiring giving the final report. Most probably she will be retiring with out giving the report since the final meeting did not happen.

In such case, the center will have to appoint a new committee which will only delay the things further. It is not sure if the new committee can be able to solve this issue. Power sector experts say that political solution is the only way out of this controversy.
