East Godavari Police refused permission for Janasena Kavathu which was planned on Cotton Dora Barrage in Rajamahendravaram as they said the Bridge is not suitable for Marching and can be used only for a Walkathon. The side walls of the Barrage are weak, the Police informed the Tour Organizers of Janasena Party.
The Police also asked them to change the venue of the Public Meeting. They said the venue of the Public Meeting has to be changed since it can not accommodate more than 10000 people. The Tour Organizers of Janasena reportedly also acknowledge the instructions letter from the Police.
Even if the orders are violated, Police have made extensive arrangements to take all possible safety measures. The department, however, may file cases on the party leaders for the violation. Janasena Party leaders claim that Two Lakh people will be attending Janasena Kavathu. They are congregated from all the districts of AP.
