The EVM Machines that will be used in upcoming GHMC elections will not have NOTA option. The option to reject all the contesting candidates was available in the general elections and the by-elections that happened later.
In wards such as Jangamet, Suraram, East Anandbagh, Ramanthapur and Balanagar, there are more than 16 candidates and so more than one EVM has to be used.Elaborate arrangements are being made for the total 74.23 lakh voters to exercise their right.
The Polling for GHMC elections will happen on February 2nd and the results will be out on 5th. All the parties have intensified their promotions ahead of the crucial elections.
