There are many, usually in the state of Punjab, whose sole dream or goal in life is to go to Canada by hook or crook. Already Canada boasts of a huge Punjabi community, and they are huge lobbyists. That apart, an average Punjabi boy aims to go to Canada by giving IELTS test that is mandatory for their higher studies.
Many youth want to go to Canada and study and work for better lifestyles. Now, the Canadian government and immigration office has made the process less complicated for such aspirants. The new changes will begin in August 2023.
As per the new guidelines, IELTS looks at a six-band score for entry. However, in the new process, the Canadian Immigration Agency will be looking at four tests that will be given equal weightage, as per reports. Now, CAEL and PTE Academic students will need a minimum of 60 marks, and those opting for TOEFL will need 80 marks.
This comes as good news to many wanting to fly to Canada for higher studies, as many are now wanting to settle in white-collared jobs.
