Minister Perni NaniIt looks like the issue of ticket prices and theaters in Andhra Pradesh is not going to solve any sooner. AP Exhibitors Requested ₹150 pricing in Cities and ₹100 in Others for A/c single Screens which is a very reasonable demand but the Government is in no mood of accepting it.

Cinematographer Minister Perni Nani talking to a media channel last night has said they found no convincing logic so as to increase the ticket prices. But he said the Government is open to suggestions. “Changes if any will only be made after they are convinced and after consulting the CM,” the Minister said.

He also hinted that the current scenario is unlikely to change for Sankranthi Biggies – RRR and Radhe Shyam. “Every film is the same for our Government. There is no differential treatment. There is no time frame for the committee appointed,” he added.

That rules out any positive development whatsoever in this issue in the near future. While our films are trying to capture North Indian markets, it is sad they face challenges back home.
