No Controversy: Telugu Missing in Metro Rail PylonPrime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the First Phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project a little while ago at Miyapur Metro Station. However, the pylon inaugurated by the Prime Minister on this occasion is giving rise to controversies.

The names of the pylon are written in Hindi and Urdu Languages only and the native Telugu is completely ignored, a controversy is brewing on social media. Everyone is baffled about how Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao who himself is an avid Telugu Lover has let this happen.

Given that there are discussions all over about Hindi hegemony on the South, this came under the scanner. But then the fact is the face of the pylon have Hindi and Urdu names while the side face of the pylon has it in Telugu. The officials should have used Telugu and Hindi on the face inaugurated by the PM.
