The government would finish giving plots to the farmers who gave their land under the land pooling scheme in November and December.

Municipal Minister Narayana says it would need 5 Lakh Crore to build a world-class capital city which will not be just an administrative city with buildings for offices and departments. He said the Chief Minister wants the city, which can provide economic stability, viability, and opportunities to people.

Premier educational institutions such as Vellore Institute of Technology, SRM University, Amrita Vishwa, and an Indo- UK health center and a university are likely to be operational from 2017. The government has allotted land to some of these institutions. The government had studied some of the best practices in the World to implement them in Amaravati.

Before the Capital is ready, the state government is bringing down the entire administration from Hyderabad to function from the temporary capital at Velagapudi. Some departments along with their staff members have already started their operations and the remaining will come before this month-end. Even the Chief Minister will shift to Velagapudi from month-end.
