No Change in EoDB- Rankings, Center ClarifiesIn what can be termed as a massive disappointment for the Telangana Government, the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry clarified that the ease of doing Busines (EoDB) rankings announced recently and the rankings would remain same.

It has also clarified that there was no error committed in the ranking as alleged by the Telangana Government. The World Bank team has done minor corrections to data after the recent announcement of the ranking. But it will not impact rankings, the department said.

Andhra Pradesh ranked first in the latest rankings announced by DIPP, followed by Telangana in second place. Telangana Government, however, said it should be the joint first rank holder along with Andhra Pradesh. That said Telangana will continue at the Second Rank after this clarification.

Andhra Pradesh is in the First Position for Two years on a trot. Telangana has shared the First Position with Andhra Pradesh the last year but slipped one place this year even though the difference between both the states is only in decimals.
