Nizam's Family Shocks KCRWe have seen Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao singing praises on Nizam. The latest is in the Assembly itself but the Chief Minister is in for a shock after the Nizam’s family welfare association has demanded that the Telangana government include all the land parcels once owned by the Nizam VII, Mir Osman Ali Khan, in the ongoing survey of land records.

They are seeking compensation for about 15,000 acres acquired by the state government 60 years ago which will run into several thousands of Crores according to today’s market value. The state government claims that it purchased 15,946 acres for 4 lakh in 1956 from the Nizam.

But Nizam’s family claims that they are not paid the compensation. They demand that if the state government had paid compensation for the land parcels it acquired, it should produce the acknowledgment for the payment made to the Nizam’s family.
