Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar fought a long legal battle over Andhra Pradesh Government and got him reinstated as the State Election Commissioner. However, it looks like Andhra Pradesh Government is not co-operating with him for the discharge of his duties.
Ramesh Kumar approached the High Court once again alleging that the Government is harassing the SEC employees with CID cases. He also alleged that the government was interfering in the duties of the Election Commission. He sought the dismissal of the CID registered case against employees for interfering in the duties of the Election Commission.
It is known to our readers that the CID on a complaint of YSR Congress Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Sai Reddy, filed a case on election commission secretary Samba Murthy for allegedly tampering the evidence in connection with Nimmagadda’s letter to the ministry of home affairs seeking Central Protection.
It has to be seen if the government will let go of the issue or will test its luck in the courts where it is proved unlucky until now.
